Antoine Berthelot
Côte des Bar

Antoine Berthelot launched his domaine in 2022, taking over family parcels in Verpillières-sur-Ource planted in the early 1980s. Trained in viticulture and oenology, with experience in Gevrey-Chambertin, Corsica and Les Riceys, he now crafts micro-production wines with a clear artisanal and quality-driven focus.
Steep, south-facing vineyards on poor, stony soils deliver wines of striking character and precision. Farming is low-intervention and meticulous: no mechanisation, minimal copper, herbal treatments, cover crops, and strict double sorting for perfect fruit. In the cellar, gentle pressing, native yeast fermentations, and ageing in used oak preserve purity and terroir expression. No fining, no filtration, and minimal sulphur. Each parcel is vinified separately before a precise, vintage-driven blend.
His debut releases already show remarkable elegance and personality. A rising talent to watch.
