COTE DE BEAUNE
Pierre & Adrien Berlancourt – Meursault

A 2.5ha organic family micro-estate in Meursault (plots bordering Puligny-Montrachet), working exclusively with Bourgogne appellations—yet consistently outperforming their level.
Whites: 18–20 months élevage (30% new oak) on fine lees (Coche-Dury spirit). Reds: 100% whole cluster, 18 months ageing. All wines bottled directly from barrel (“chèvre” method).
Farmed at very low yields (~25 hl/ha vs 68 hl/ha average), delivering depth, texture, and precision. The style is unmistakably Meursault: fine lees reduction, white flowers, fresh bread, butter, with a long, precise finish balancing richness. Pierre is quietly obsessive—no trends, just precision. Tiny volumes, Bourgogne in name, Grand Cru in mindset.

Wine style : Pierre and Adrien Berlancourt farm at very low yields—around 25 hl/ha, compared with an average of 68 hl/ha in the area. This rigorous approach results in wines of remarkable concentration, both in flavor and texture. The style is distinctly Meursault-inspired, with fine lees reduction, notes of white flowers, fresh bread and butter, and a long, persistent finish, all lifted by a precise acidity that perfectly balances the natural richness of the wines.

Why Vibrant :  Pierre Berlancourt is one of the most humble and passionate winemakers, quietly pursuing his own vision without chasing trends. Despite tiny production and modest appellations, he treats his wines as if they were Grand Crus—meticulous handwork in the vineyards and long, careful aging in thoughtfully selected barrels.
