For many, Raveneau and Dauvissat define benchmark Chablis. Through his marriage into the Dauvissat family and hands-on mentorship, Laurent Tribut has emerged as one of the appellation’s most compelling talents.Today, alongside his daughter, he farms 5 hectares largely drawn from Dauvissat family holdings, initially vinified at the domaine under René and Vincent’s guidance. Though now based at his own winery nearby, Tribut remains firmly rooted in this tradition.

William Kelley: “Organic grapes, moderate yields, hand-harvesting at full maturity, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and enameled steel, followed—typically from February—by élevage on the lees in used oak, form the cornerstones of the estate’s approach. This methodology will be familiar to followers of Vincent Dauvissat’s wines, and it remains unchanged under the new generation. Domaine Tribut continues to stand as a reference for classic, artisanal Chablis. In short, readers can buy with confidence across the range, which comprises just four wines under the Domaine Tribut label.”

Chablis 2023
Outstanding Top value. Ripe aromas of poached pear and apple compote are laced with
hints of iodine, lemon rind and a whiff of brine. The succulent, round and sappy middle
weight flavors display notably better than average persistence on the citrusy, clean
and nicely dry finale. This punches above its weight and is worth a look.
Chablis 1er cru “Beauroy” 2023
A well-defined bouquet with red apple, Conference pear and light crushed stone aromas.
The palate is fresh and vibrant, well above the others Beauroy makers in terms of
complexity and raciness, with that spiciness coming through on the finish.
Early-drinking but full of character.
Chablis 1er cru “Cote de Lechet” 2023
There is an exotic touch that includes lychee and passion fruit on the layered nose
laced with iodine, seaweed, floral and lemongrass wisps. The exceptionally rich,
even opulent, medium-bodied flavors manage to be at once generous yet refined.
This is an interesting wine as the palate is quite open and lush. Worth checking
out as this should drink well both young and up to a decade of keeping.
