ALSACE
Jintaro Yura
Jintaro Yura stands apart in Alsace, crafting wines defined by purity, balance, and originality. Working with organically grown grapes, his approach to white wines breaks from classic Alsatian tradition, favoring short, firm pressings, native yeast fermentations, and ageing in a mix of oak, steel, and clay. His Pinot Noir is equally distinctive, using a significant proportion of whole clusters vinified in an infusion style. The 2024 vintage marks his fourth release and, with the move to his own winery and facilities, his most accomplished to date.

Wine style : Inspired by burgundian lees work and ageing, his wines show depth, freshness and a distinctive savory, umami-driven character—precise, pure and deeply expressive.
Why Vibrant : Jintaro is a close friend of Kei, so I had the chance to meet him before his first vintage. Above all, he is passionate about wine, and it shows in his own creations—wines that follow his unique style and vision, entirely outside Alsace norms.
