At the origin stands Dionysus : the god who gifted the vine to mankind. From his myth was born a deeper truth: wine is more than a drink; it is a link between earth and divine, between celebration and oblivion. Around him danced the Thyades, guardians of these sacred rites, embodying the raw, untamed force of nature.
This ancient spirit finds a modern echo in Les Thyades, a small domaine based in Santenay, in Côte de Beaune. Spanning just 1.5 hectares across Volnay, Pommard and Chassagne-Montrachet, the vineyard is deliberately intimate, each parcel carefully tended and expressed through precise, small-scale cuvées. The vineyard is own and managed by Pierric Brochet (owner and winemaker of Champagne Jules Brochet), who inherited few plots from his family (ie. from his uncle).
The philosophy is clear: minimal intervention, maximum expression. Reds are crafted with partial whole-bunch, semi-carbonic maceration, while all wines are aged for around 18 months in 228L barrels. Nothing is added, nothing taken away, no sugar, no fining, no filtration, and only minimal sulfur at pressing. The result is a direct, unembellished translation of each terroir. Production is extremely limited, with micro-cuvées such as Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru, Pommard (including vines planted in 1924), and Volnay, often in just a few hundred bottles - true artisan Burgundy.
Beyond the wine itself, the domaine extends into a dialogue with contemporary art through a collaboration with artist Nikolay Koshelev. Each label becomes an artistic interpretation where terroir meets imagination, and each bottle stands as both wine and object.
Les Thyades is not just a domaine, it is a narrative: ancient myth, living soils, and handcrafted Burgundy, woven into a single, delicate thread.
All the wines are made using the same approach:
• ageing in 228 litres barrels for 18 months
• whole bunch semi-carbonic maceration for the red
• low sulphur added only at the press (2-4 g/hl)
• no sugar added
• no filtration, no collage

Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru blanc « La Platière »
900 bottles. Family domaine vines, from a 40-year-old parcel at the bottom of the village, La Platière. The vineyard is farmed organically, with a chenillard used for vineyard work and short pruning to naturally limit yields.

In the cellar, Pierric takes a deliberately gentle approach. The grapes are directly pressed without crushing, with the full lees retained before the must is transferred straight into barrel from the pneumatic press. Fermentation takes place entirely in barrel, allowing the wine to build texture and depth while preserving the freshness and mineral character of the site.
Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru blanc « En Pimont »
700 bottles
Pommard 1er cru rouge « Les Charmots »
300 bottles. Planted in 1924.
Pommard rouge « Les Vaumuriens »
300 bottles
Volnay rouge « Les grands Poisots »
300 bottles. Les Grands Poisots comes from a plot at the bottom of Volnay, planted around 80 years ago and inherited by Pierric from his parents. The combination of very old vines and naturally low yields gives the wine an impressive depth and concentration.

Pierric's approach in the cellar is centred around whole bunch fermentation. The grapes undergo a roughly two-week maceration in large tanks, with the cap gently worked by foot rather than through aggressive extraction. His aim is to capture the aromatic lift and transparency of whole cluster while retaining the structure and power needed for the wine to develop.
