Maison Glandien (Tino Kuban) – Rully

Maison Glandien was founded in 2018 by Tino Kuban, initially as a small personal project producing just four barrels of wine from carefully selected grapes around Meursault for family and friends. Encouraged by the results, Tino expanded the project in 2020, sourcing grapes exclusively from organic and biodynamic growers across France. He purchases only whole grape clusters - never juice or finished wine - and personally oversees every harvest with his team, ensuring rigorous vineyard selection before vinification. Today, Tino and his Domaine team also carry out the vineyard work for most Maison Glandien cuvées, allowing the same meticulous viticultural standards applied in his own estate to extend to the négociant wines.
The philosophy behind Maison Glandien mirrors the meticulous approach of Tino's own estate. Grapes are harvested by hand in multiple passes, picking only perfectly ripe fruit. Whites are whole-bunch pressed within 90 minutes of harvest using a traditional vertical press, while reds are fermented with whole clusters and gently extracted by foot or hand, without pumping or remontage. Fermentations take place without added sulphur, wines are aged in barrel for around 10 months, and bottled by gravity without racking, preserving purity, texture and site expression.
Since 2022, Maison Glandien has also produced the L'Origine range, featuring wines from Tino's own vineyards in Mercurey and Aluze, alongside selected declassified Domaine parcels. These wines receive extended élevage and are released approximately 20 months after harvest, offering additional complexity and depth while remaining true to the house philosophy of precision, minimal intervention and transparent expression of terroir.
Wine style : Maison Glandien showcase a minimal-intervention style characterized by purity, precision, and deep terroir expression. The whites deliver vibrant acidity, texture, and balanced reduction. The reds offer complex and highly aromatic floral notes with good structure and silky tannins.
Why Vibrant : Forget everything you think you know about négociant wines. Maison Glandien is far more than a traditional négociant—every wine is built from the vineyard up, with an obsession for detail rarely encountered in Burgundy.
