A discreet but highly sought-after name in the Northern Rhône, Domaine Marie & Pierre Bénetière has built a cult following since the early 2000s. Working on a tiny 1.7-hectare estate in Côte-Rôtie, the domaine delivers wines of striking precision, depth, and authenticity—firmly rooted in tradition and terroir.Set on steep, granite- and schist-rich slopes, the vineyards benefit from exceptional drainage and mineral tension.

  • Surface: ~3 ha

  • Varieties: Syrah (Côte-Rôtie), Viognier (Condrieu)

  • Signature: low yields, high definition, and unmistakable mineral drive

This is classic Northern Rhône terrain—where intensity meets finesse.
Bénetière wines are all about purity and restraint.

  • Native yeasts, minimal intervention

  • No unnecessary inputs—nothing to mask the fruit

  • Organic-minded farming, strict selection, hand-harvested fruit

In the cellar, élevage in French oak is handled with precision—enhancing structure without ever dominating.
These are wines of elegance and layered complexity:

  • Dark berries, plum, cracked pepper, subtle spice

  • Hints of tobacco and cedar with age

  • Structured yet refined, with vibrant acidity and fine tannins

Built to age, yet already compelling in youth. A true insider’s domaine—tiny production, meticulous work, and unwavering standards. Their wines are increasingly hard to secure and highly prized by sommeliers and collectors alike. Benetière is not about volume—it’s about precision, identity, and truth to terroir. Every bottle reflects a hands-on, uncompromising approach, making this one of the most exciting small producers in the Northern Rhône today.

Cote-Rotie "Cordeloux" 2019
From its namesake lieu-dit in Côte-Rôtie—one of the very first parcels acquired in the 1980s—this cuvée captures the domaine’s essence. The nose opens on delicate violet, layered with peppery spice and a subtle animal edge. The palate follows with precision, depth, and character.
